At Teddy Wong’s, it’s always been about more than just dumplings and wine. It’s about creating a space that feels inviting, energetic, and memorable from the moment you walk in. Kevin and Lori are long-time successful New Orleans entrepreneurs with a deep love for the city and its unique culture.

For years, Kevin and Lori have been regulars at The Italian Barrel, a charming establishment tucked in the heart of the historic French Quarter. It’s here where the couple got engaged and where they’ve celebrated countless family milestones. When Owner and Executive Chef Samantha Castagnetti decided to sell the restaurant and focus on her Pinacoteca concept around the corner, she couldn’t think of anyone better to continue her legacy than Kevin and Lori. Kevin’s mother was from Northern Italy. As a young boy, he spent many hours in the kitchen with her and his other relatives in Roveredo in Piano, Milan and Rome.

A Blend of Professional Expertise and Personal Interests 

Misha’s professional journey includes notable stints at Bird Cafe in Sundance Square, Wishbone and Flynt, the Amber Room, and as the bar manager at Tre Mogli. Her seven years at Bird Cafe were particularly influential, as she honed her skills tackling interesting flavor combinations.

“I really like to use a lot of fresh ingredients and things that would normally go in a dish,” says Misha. One of her proudest creations is the “You Do Yuzu” cocktail from the Amber Room, featuring Roku Gin, Soju, Yuzu juice, white miso paste, lemongrass simple syrup, and a saline solution. The cocktail is a testament to her ability to blend unexpected ingredients into pure liquid delight. New creations she has brought to Teddy Wongs include “The South Sea” a tropical sangria spritz, “Mountain Mist” a lemon lavender spritz, and the “Terracotta Warrior” a sake old fashioned.

A Nerd at Heart

Outside of her professional life, Misha says she “embraces her inner nerd”. She enjoys playing video games like Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed, and The Witcher, reading, watching scary movies, going to the gym, and experimenting with cooking healthy foods.
